Audi A7 – Full Detail with Heavy Road Paint Removal and Paint Correction

Luxury Car Detailing took on this black Audi A7 for one of the more challenging jobs of the season. The vehicle had extensive road paint overspray covering the lower panels, doors, and even some areas of the hood. In addition to the overspray removal, the client requested a full interior and exterior detail, along with light paint correction to restore the finish after the contamination was addressed.

Vehicle Condition Before Work

  • Road paint splattered across multiple panels and embedded in clear coat
  • Surface contaminants creating rough texture and dull reflections
  • Minor swirl marks and marring present on high-contact areas
  • Interior lightly soiled but in overall good condition

Exterior Process

  • Decontamination Wash
A full foam pre-soak and two-bucket hand wash were used to safely strip surface grime and prep for paint removal.
  • Road Paint Removal
Using a combination of clay media and specialized overspray removers, we carefully lifted the road paint without damaging the factory clear coat. This step alone took several hours due to the amount of contamination.
  • Paint Correction
Once the panels were clean, we performed a one-step paint correction to restore depth and remove minor defects caused by the overspray. This helped bring back the Audi’s deep black finish.
  • Protection
Applied a high-quality wax/sealant combination to protect the corrected paintwork and enhance gloss.

Interior Process

  • Full vacuum and debris removal throughout the cabin
  • Wipe-down and UV protection applied to all interior surfaces
  • Interior glass polished streak-free
  • Floor mats scrubbed and restored

Final Result

The Audi A7’s finish went from heavily contaminated to a smooth, deep gloss. The road paint was completely removed without harming the clear coat, and the one-step correction left the car looking like it had just come off the showroom floor. The client was shocked by the transformation, especially considering how severe the overspray looked before.
