Mercedes Convertible – Full Detail & Coffee Stain Removal
At Luxury Car Detailing, we recently worked on a beautiful white Mercedes convertible located along the scenic Rhode Island coast. While the vehicle’s exterior had a solid shine, the interior had taken a hit from spilled coffee and general wear from regular use. Our goal was to fully restore both the cabin and paint without compromising any delicate trim or finishes.
Exterior Detailing Process
Even luxury vehicles can lose their glow over time—especially when parked near water or under trees. Here's how we brought the Mercedes back to showroom standards:
- Pre-Soak & Foam Cannon Wash: We used a pH-neutral shampoo to safely lift grime from the paint.
- Clay Bar Decontamination: Removed embedded dirt and environmental fallout that dulls the finish.
- Hand Wash & Towel Dry: Ensured zero scratches using premium microfiber drying towels.
- Wheel & Tire Cleaning: Deep cleaned rims, lug nut holes, and tire faces, followed by a satin-finish tire dressing.
- Spray Wax Protection: Applied a slick sealant to lock in shine and protect from the elements.
Interior Detail With Targeted Coffee Stain Removal
While the exterior needed finesse, the interior was where most of the work came in—especially due to a large coffee spill that had settled into the front passenger carpet.
Interior Work Included:
- Full Vacuum & Air Purge: Reached deep into seat rails, crevices, and under mats.
- Steam Cleaning & Extracting: Treated high-contact surfaces like the dash and console.
- Coffee Stain Removal: Used an enzyme-based cleaner to lift the brown staining and eliminate odor. Followed with a hot water extraction process to fully pull contaminants out of the fabric.
- Leather & Vinyl Dressing: Applied a satin interior conditioner to refresh plastics and prevent UV damage.
Final Result
After a full-day detail, the Mercedes was completely transformed. The coffee stain was entirely removed, the cabin smelled fresh again, and the exterior shimmered in the sunlight. The customer was shocked we were able to restore the interior without needing replacement mats or professional upholstery work.
